How it works.

Step 01 — Capture

Every community node — a solar array, a biosphere sensor, a logged hour of restoration work — reports its output at source. Nothing is estimated after the fact.

Step 02 — Timestamp

Each entry is stamped the moment it's captured and appended to the ledger in the order it arrived. Entries are never reordered or backdated.

Step 03 — Verify

Entries are cross-checked against neighbouring nodes before they're marked confirmed, so a single faulty sensor can't distort the shared record.

Step 04 — Publish

Once verified, the entry is immutable. It cannot be edited or removed, only appended to — by us or by anyone auditing the ledger.

What we track.

Solar Yield

Excess generation from residential and community arrays, and where it was routed once it left the point of origin.

Biosphere Data

Air quality and biodiversity readings from local sensors, and which restoration projects they directed.

Collective Hours

Volunteer and contributor time pledged to restoration work, logged against the project it supported.

Distributions

Every resource that left the ledger — what it was, where it went, and who received it.

Methodology

Why this matters.

A pledge to "act sustainably" is easy to make and hard to check. We'd rather be accountable to a record than to a slogan. The ledger exists so that anyone — a member, a partner, a sceptic — can trace a unit of energy or an hour of work from where it originated to where it ended up, without asking us to vouch for it.

Access

Who can see it.

The ledger is public by design — no login, no member tier required. Once it's live, anyone will be able to query any node's history. We're not going to gate transparency behind a sign-up form.

We are currently synchronising our community nodes. The live ledger will launch in 2026.

Questions we get asked.

Can entries be corrected?

A wrong entry can't be erased, but a correction can be appended alongside it. The original stays visible — that's the point of immutability.

Who verifies the nodes?

Neighbouring nodes cross-check each other's reports before anything is marked confirmed. No single node can vouch for itself.

Is this a cryptocurrency?

No. The ledger records real-world resource flows — solar yield, restoration hours, verified distributions — not a tradable token.

When does it go live?

We're synchronising our first cohort of community nodes now. We'd rather launch once the data is trustworthy than launch on time with gaps in it.
